Roof Replacement for Turbine Building
Client: Point Lepreau Nuclear Generating Station
The Point Lepreau turbine building needed a new roof to meet with safety standards and changing demands due to structural integrity. Silk Stevens was asked to perform a roof inspection and assessment, and then design an improved roof replacement.
Safety and Environmental Facility Improvements
Silk Stevens designed a fall-arrest system to protect workers and equipment when tarping trucks. Silk Stevens also designed an in-ground bio-filter to scrub the exhaust air from the facility, removing the exhaust odour and passing it into wood media, providing an eco-friendly method of exhaust purification.
